Nepal Ranked 4th Position with 4.3 Score on CSOSI 2020:
The GoGo Foundation in association with the FHI 360/ICNL/USA released the CSO Sustainability Index (CSOSI) 2020. The CSOSI reports gauze civic space of the 8 countries from the Asia/South East Asian countries (Nepal, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri-Lanka, Timor-Leste and Thailand). Nepal Scored 4.3 on CSOSI 2019:
GoGo Foundation in association with the FHI360/USA has released the CSO Sustainability Index (CSOSI) 2019. The CSOSI is a unique study to gauze the civic space in the nine countries of the Asia/South East Asian countries ��?�� Nepal, Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri-Lanka, Timor-Leste and Thailand. This initiative helps to promote civil society's internal governance as well as helping to understand CSO enabling environment in respective countries. 2018 CSOSI Report Released
GoGo Foundation in association with the FHI 360/ICNL/USAID has published the Civil Society Organization Sustainability Index 2018 (CSOSI). It measures the strengths and overall viability of the CSO sectors in more than 70 countries. The Asian version CSOSI report covers nine South/East Asian countries - Nepal, Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka and Thailand. International Anti-corruption Day Celebration
More than four hundred anti corruption activists took part in the rally to mark the 16th International Anti-corruption Day Rally organized by GoGo Foundation along with CS:MAP partners in close collaboration with the national level CSO-Media and stakeholders. The event was supported by FHI360/CS:MAP.
With the theme 'Together, we are united against the corruption, the rally started from Bhrikuti Mandap-Bhadrikali reached Ratnapark and finally ended into corner meeting after reaching the starting point ��?�� Bhrikuti Mandap. The major objective of the campaign was to raise the awareness among the citizen against the corruption. The anti corruption activists marched carrying the play cards with different slogans saying the key messages against the corruption. Furthermore, throughout the rally, the local traditional folk singers played the folk music (Naumati Baja) drawing the attention of on lookers and commuters.

Consultation on CSO Registration Draft Bill
between Government and CSO/Media Leaders
A half day consultation workshop on CSO Registration Draft Bill between government, CSO and media representatives was organized by GoGo Foundation on November 21, 2019 at Lalitpur with the financial support from the HI360.
Executive Director Kedar Khadka reflected in his presentation about the enabling environment of CSO's in 9 South/East Asian countries. He described how our CSO's position has been declining over the years and what should be done to improve its existing position. In terms of ranking, Nepal currently ranks fourth based on several indicators such as sustainability, legal environment, organizational capacity, infrastructure and public image inter alia. While presenting his slides, he admits that there are weaknesses on the part of some CSOs. However, it should not be sole basis to undermine CSOs contribution in the overall development process of the country.

Multi-stakeholder Dialogue on CSO Issues in Law Making Process and Way Forward
GoGo Foundation in collaboration with FHI 360 organized a dialogue with Parliamentarians in Kathmandu on 21st May, 2019, in the presence of media persons, civil society activist, human rights defenders and academicians.
In the dialogue, five Member of the Federal Parliament actively took part; namely Min Bishwakarma, Jitendra Narayan Dev, Yogesh Bhattarai, Badri Pandey, Prakash Rasaili including Chiranjivi Khanal, Secretary, Nepal Law Commission, Jit Ram Lama, President, NGO Federation Nepal and Govinda Acharya, President, Federation of Nepalese Journalist.

RTI Day Celebration
GoGo Foundation in collaboration with other CS:MAP partners, the staged a rally with different banner and play card to mark the International Right to Information Day amidst big fanfare on 28 September 2019. Major objective of the campaign was to raise the awareness among the citizen about what is right to information and how can obtain the information that matters to the citizens. Typical Nepali Panchaibaja played by women leader was also an attractive part of the rally.
With the theme 'Leaving No One Behind', the rally started from Bhrikuti Mandap-Bhadrikali reached Ratna Park and finally ended in a corner meeting after reaching the starting point - Bhrikuti Mandap. The corner meeting was addressed by Tara Dahal, Freedom Forum. Mr Dahal thanked the enthusiasts including RTI campaigner, students, academician, media persons and human rights defenders for taking part in the rally and making it a success. In the same event, Ram Subedi, General Secretary of NGO Federation also briefly talked about the importance of the RTI.

Dialogue on CSO-Media to Advance
Public Concerns
The half day dialogue program was organized by the GoGo Foundation aiming to advance public concerns through CSO-Media collaboration, held on 23 August 2019 at Lalitpur. The event served as a massive space to bring the CSOs and media representatives along with government senior officials under one roof noble cause.
The event not only helped to talk about the public issues but also hinted the ways to advance them through joint initiation. The way forward provided by them towards the end of the program will be instrumental in bringing the issue for further discourse.
The Program Manager, Poshta KC, welcomed the participants and briefed about the GoGo Foundation while Executive Director Kedar Khadka highlighted the objective and moderated the session.

Dialogue with
Provincial Assembly Member on CSO Issues
The CSO representatives, journalists including some member of the parliament from Provicne-5 have opined that the Social Organizational Bill, 2075 which is in the cabinet for its endorsement contains some issues which are not CSOs centric and thus shrink their roles in future. This indeed is not constitutional and would lay the ground for controlling the CSO in the veil of monitoring them.
They were expressing their views and opinions at an event organized by the GoGo Foundation with the financial support of FHI360 on 22 April, 2019 at Butwal- the capital of Province-5. The event was organized to bring the CSO representatives and provincial minister, member of assembly and local leaders not only to discuss the issues, problems and challenges of CSO in the changed political spectrum but also hints the doable solution to that end.

CSO Dialogue with Provincial Assembly Member
on CSO Issues
The majority of the representative of Civil Society Organization (CSO) expressed their dismay over government move to bypass its representative's participation in the development process of Social Organization Bill, 2075 which is currently in the cabinet for its endorsement. They complaint that the government has intentionally undermined CSO participation while drafting the Social Organizational Bill, 2075 and it is undemocratic attitudes of the government. They were speaking at a dialogue with Member of Far-western Provincial Assembly on CSOs issues and existing legal enabling environment.
The event was organized by the GoGo Foundation on 16 March, 2019 at Dhangadi with the financial support of FHI 360. The major purpose of the program was to bring the elected representatives and CSO representatives for creating enabling legal environment of CSO in line with the new federal structure.

Dialogue on CSOs Issues
Major civil society representatives of the Bhaktpur District said that there are number of deficit in the preliminary draft of the Social Organization Bill, 2075 which was recently drafted by Government of Nepal. The views were put forth in an event organized by the GoGo Foundation on 15 February 2019 at Bhaktapur under the aegis of FHI 360; aiming to sensitize and collect the current issue and agenda of CSO for creating pressure and voice to concern policy maker for making CSO friendly laws .
As part of the project activities, the event was solely organized to discuss the existing challenges and issues confronted by civil society organizations (CSOs) in the process of their registration, renewal and project approval process. The event also highly led emphasis on the provisions of the draft social organization Bill, 2075 eliciting the responses of the participants.

Multi-stakeholder Dialogue
A half- day multi-stakeholder dialogue with member of Gandaki Provincial Assembly and CSO leader; was accomplished on 18th January 2019 at Pokhara with the financial support of FHI 360. The major purpose of the event was to sensitize and increase the understanding level of member of legislative assembly of Gandaki Province on issues covering national and international legal slandered of CSO related issues for making CSO friendly enabling environment in the changed political paradigm.
Program Manager, CS:MAP, welcomed the participants and highlighted the objective of the event. The program was chaired by Padma R. Pahari, President, NGO Federation Nepal (NFN), Kaski Chapter, the Chief Guest of the event was Honb'le Netranath Adhikari, Speaker of Legislative Assembly, Gandki Province. CSR Funding for Social Cause
For the first in Nepal, GoGo Foundation in collaboration with the National Business Initiative (NBI) organized a dialogue among CSO and business leaders including senior government officials on 21 June 2019 in Kathmandu. Good Governance Training for Local Awareness
GoGo Foundation's BIHANI Project (funded by UK Aid) in partnership with the Gajuri Rural Municipality (Palika) of the Dhading District, Province-3 organized a two days long 'Good Governance Training for Local Awareness'' to enable particularly single women, dalits, senior/poor citizens to access local government services and goods meant for them. More than 31 participants took part in the training. Gajuri Palika Chief Rajendra Bikram Basnet including his fellow colleagues have been putting their efforts to uplift local communities.

GoGo Foundation organized a dialogue between Member of Federal Parliament and CSO leaders on 'Civic Space' on 21 May 2019. MP Yogesh Bhattarai, MP Minkumar Bishowkarma, MP Jitendra Dev, MP Badri Pandey including senior government officials participated in the program. The CSO leaders strongly urged parliament members to respect freedom of association and freedom of speech.

GoGo Foundation in association with the National Coalition against Corruption (NCaC) celebrated 'Anti-corruption Day' on 9 December 2017 in Nepal. A leaflet containing 17 Questionnaires to newly elected Member of Parliamentarians along with the Municipality Mayors & Village Council's Representatives urging them to publicize their commitment to fight against corruption. ��?NCaC also placed Flex Board with anti-corruption message in different places i.e. Basantapur, Dillibazar, Maitighar Mandala and in front of the Lalitpur Metropolitan Office. NCaC is joint platform of CSOs to advance anti-corruption agenda in Nepal. ��?GoGo has been working as the focal point for Coalition.

GoGo Foundation organized an event and successfully launched the Civil Society Sustainability Index (CSOSI) Report, 2015 on 26 February 2017 at the Trade Tower, Thapathali, Kathmandu, Nepal.��? This report is joint initiatives with MSI/USAID.

The CSOSI report was formally unveiled by Dr Somlal Subedi, Chief Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Minister, Nepal along with CSO activists and USAID representative.
